Gdeim Izik: Using « Occupied Territories » term incites Abdelaziz Nouidi to quit defending one of the Accused

Attorney Abdelaziz Nouidi has waived from defending Naama Asfari, who is one of the accused of the killing of 11 law enforcement officers during the Gdeim Izik camp dismantling.

Nouidi took this decision after resuming the Gdeim Izik hearing on Tuesday January the 24th, following the use of the term “Occupied Territories” in one of the second French attorney’s memos.

The attorney has also clarified that he was in no way pressured to take this decision and drop.

The trial is still on going at the criminal chamber near the court of appeals’ annex building in Salé. Many are trying to politicize it while it’s a mere question of preserving common rights in a case where facts are supported with evidence and documentation.
